Target Background

Function
Histone methyltransferase that specifically monomethylates 'Lys-20' of histone H4 (H4K20me1). H4K20me1 is enriched on hermaphrodite X chromosomes and during mitosis. Involved in dosage compensation by repression of X-linked gene expression in hermaphrodites. Plays a role in growth and body fat regulation downstream of the TOR complex 2 pathway.
