Description

To create the trypsin/alpha-amylase inhibitor CMX2 polyclonal antibody, a recombinant Triticum aestivum trypsin/alpha-amylase inhibitor CMX2 protein fragment (comprising amino acids 25 to 121) is selected as the immunogen. This fragment is administered to a rabbit for immunization, resulting in the production of polyclonal antibodies. Serum obtained from the rabbit contains these antibodies, which are subsequently purified using affinity chromatography. The trypsin/alpha-amylase inhibitor CMX2 antibody's functionality is further verified in ELISA and WB assays, establishing its effectiveness in detecting Triticum aestivum CMX2 protein.

The Triticum aestivum Trypsin/alpha-amylase inhibitor CMX2 protein serves as a defensive mechanism in wheat plants, safeguarding them against herbivores and potentially providing protection against certain pathogens by interfering with their growth and development.
