Conjugate | Avi-tag Biotinylated E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag. |

This Recombinant bovine hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) is a semi-custom product. There are 5 expression system options: Yeast, E. coli, In Vivo Biotinylation in E. coli, Baculovirus, and Mammalian cell. Your requirements will be given top priority in determining the protein tags. For proteins within 800 aa, risk-free custom service is guaranteed. It means you will not be charged if the protein cannot be delivered.
Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) has a strong mitogenic effect on hepatocytes and is considered a hepatotrophic factor for hepatic regeneration [1-4]. HGF inhibits the growth of hepatocellular carcinoma cells and has potent anti-proliferative activity in various tumor cell lines [5][6]. Studies have shown that HGF protects against Fas-mediated liver apoptosis and has anti-apoptotic effects on hepatocytes [7][8]. HGF also regulates cell motility, cell growth, morphogenesis, and angiogenesis in various cell types [9]. Furthermore, HGF has been associated with poor prognosis in malignant gliomas and is a predictor for the recurrence of meningioma [3]. HGF is also a potent renotrophic factor for renal regeneration following acute renal failure [4].
