Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Structural protein that stabilizes microvessels and muscle cells, both in heart and in skeletal muscle.; Restin potently inhibits angiogenesis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. COL15A1 mRNA was up-regulated in hepatocellular cancer (HCC) and collagen XV was expressed along the sinusoid-like endothelium of HCC but not in non-tumoral regions, which implies that collagen XV contributes to the capillarization of HCC. PMID: 26293333
  2. This study demonstrated that novel role for collagen XV in motor axon pathfinding and neuromuscular development. PMID: 26937007
  3. we identified an epithelial ovarian cancer susceptibility loci at 9q22.33 (rs1413299 in COL15A1, P(meta) = 1.88 x 10(-8)) PMID: 25134534
  4. The obtained results indicate that the changes in gene expression in bone marrow progenitor cells can be involved into space flight-induced osteopenia. PMID: 25509878
  5. COL15A1, provide evidence for concomitant epigenetic regulation and genetic susceptibility, and define a class of causal targets that sit at the intersection of genetic and epigenetic predisposition in the etiology of complex disease. PMID: 23912340
  6. These results suggest genetic variation in COL15A1 and COL18A1 can modify the age of onset of both early and late onset POAG. PMID: 23621901
  7. Collagen type XV and osteocalcin expression are highly sensitive markers to extracellular calcium PMID: 22034088
  8. the crystal structure of the trimerization domain of human type XV collagen PMID: 20932905
  9. type XV and XVIII collagens are expressed in specialized basement membranes. PMID: 11937714
  10. Results show that the molecular structure of human tissue type XV presents a unique conformation among the collagens. PMID: 17355226
  11. the primary determinant is the gene specifying collagen XV, a proteoglycan closely associated with the basement membrane PMID: 18171981
  12. Polymorphisms in COL15 (collagen XV) gene are not associated with systemic sclerosis PMID: 18203317
  13. Data represent the first evidence of the expression of collagen type XV in human osteoblasts, a calcium-regulated protein which correlates to a specific functional state of these cells. PMID: 19365806
