TP63, or tumour protein 63, is a p53 family member expressed in a variety of tumours. It is derived from alternative splicing of the p53 gene and has multiple splice variants, which are produced by different splicing events. The mechanism of action of TP63 involves processes such as cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, DNA damage response and cell differentiation. It exerts its biological functions by binding to DNA and activating or inhibiting the transcription of specific genes. The signalling pathways that TP63 is involved in include the p53 signalling pathway, the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway and the TGF-β signalling pathway. Biologically, TP63 is important for maintaining tissue regenerative capacity, promoting cell differentiation and inhibiting tumour development. Abnormalities in its function may be associated with the development of a variety of diseases and is an important target in tumour therapy and tissue regeneration research.

IHC image of CSB-RA887971A0HU diluted at 1:210 and staining in paraffin-embedded human pancreatic cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4℃ overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
The following TP63 reagents supplied by CUSABIO are manufactured under a strict quality control system. Multiple applications have been validated and solid technical support is offered.
