TNFRSF4, Tumour Necrosis Factor Receptor superfamily member 4, is also known as CD137 or OX40. it is a costimulatory molecule expressed predominantly on the surface of activated T cells. the mechanism of action of TNFRSF4 involves binding to its ligand, TNFSF4 (also known as OX40L), which enhances T-cell survival, proliferation, and differentiation, and is essential for the maintenance of the T-cell-mediated Activation of TNFRSF4 promotes the differentiation of Th1 and Th17 cells while suppressing the function of regulatory T cells, thus playing an active role in chronic infection and tumour immunity.TNFRSF4 is a key molecule in the regulation of immune response and the promotion of cell-mediated immune responses, and it has potential therapeutic value in the treatment of autoimmune diseases and tumours.
